About Collection 4

Collection 4 of my artworks consist of collages made on canvas or otherwise. The first set I created within Collection 4 is called - The Tantra Collection.

One cannot grow up in India and not be inspired by the fascinating stories of Hindu Gods, Goddesses, Demigods, angels, and other mystical creatures, etc. They are perhaps the first we learn how to draw and paint. At least, I did, after I had satiated learning how to paint birds, flower pots and landscapes.

A few months ago, I woke up one morning, thinking of what my next collection should consist of. I realised I wanted to go back to our various Gods and Goddesses, not only for inspiration but also for the latest collection. Hence the Tantra Collection was born. Of course, I had been studying yoga, meditation, and books on esoteric knowledge from a famous school of yoga in India and from these studies, such inspiration is easy to find.

The Tantra Collection consists of collages of Gods and Goddesses and abstract textural art from the Tantras. When I started these paintings, I did not know where I was supposed to showcase them. But as divine guidance would have it, the space at YogaTree became available.

The Tantra Collection collages have been created by pictures of Gods and Goddesses from Mumbai. The textured look has been achieved by special paper from China. And the colours, inspired from my travels around the globe.

All art works are new and are for sale.
